DEMAND FOR TURKISH HOLIDAY HOMES SET TO INCREASE
Friday, 07 Mar 2008
Holiday homes in Turkey could soon become prized and valuable commodities, an expert has suggested.
According to Sarah Brown of NuBricks.com, the Turkish government wants to double the annual number of foreign visitors by 2023.
If authorities are successful in achieving this target, demand for rental accommodation in popular tourist hotspots should go up significantly.
This could prove to be lucrative to property investors in several ways, as they will be in line to collect strong rental returns.
Furthermore, Ms Brown believes that high demand for holiday homes should push up their overall value.
She commented: "If they are able to get anywhere near the figures mentioned, this could easily prompt a property boom in the country."
Last year, Turkey attracted 23 million foreign leisure travellers.
The government is aiming to get this figure to 50 million within the next 15 years.
