Number 1 property investment location

Istanbul has been identified by 400 top economists as the number one property investment location.

Istanbul is the only city in the world to straddle two continents. Once capital of the Ottoman Empire, Istanbul still remains the commercial, historical and cultural pulse of Turkey, and its beauty lies in its ability to embrace its contradictions. Ancient and modern, religious and secular, Asia and Europe all co-exist here.

Home to more than 20 different fascinating civilizations, Turkey has a 10,000 year-old heritage, much of which is still being uncovered. Its rich history is very much part of the present, with temples, ancient theatres, churches, mosques, tombs, statues of gods, palaces and fortresses generously dispersed, together with the many detailed and fascinating museums which bring the past to life.

As Turkey's cultural and financial centre, Istanbul houses the headquarters of multinational companies, foreign and local banks as well as liaison offices of international companies operating in Turkey.

Surrounded by four different seas, Turkey is a beach paradise with over 8000 km of sunny strips of sand.

Buyukcekmece is a seaside town with big ambitions in terms of economy, tourism and culture. The town forms one of 32 district towns and itself encompasses 13 smaller towns and villages. Buyukcekmece District is connected to the city centre, approximately 30 km away, by bus and ferry services.

The town lies beside the Sea of Marmara, with its ancient buildings that bear witness to historical roots dating back to the 7th century BC. In particular, the bridges and fountains constructed during the reign of Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent, mostly by the famous architect Sinan, stand today as important historical landmarks.

Development of the infrastructure is forging ahead at the same pace as growth in the economy. Besides schools offering an all-round education, there are three universities. Buyukcekmece has gained a reputation as an important venue for trade fairs. The area stages the Middle East's most important IT fair, which takes place once a year, and the town plays host to the largest book fair in Turkey. People find work in the service sector or in the production industry. The transport infrastructure, with Istanbul airport on hand and good transport links by road and sea, is contributing to the rapid economic development. The region is prominent in all prime areas of Turkish industry.

Primarily an industrial area, Beylikduzu started to develop because of easy accessibility via TEM and E-5 road, large areas of affordable land supply, and the opening of Tuyap Exhibition and Congress Centre - an important venue for trade fairs - and Tatilya Amusement Centre. The major commercial harbour, Kumport, is also located close to Beylikduzu.

The main commercial section of the area is along the E-5 highway between Tuyap crossroads and Ambarli crossroads. Some small scale industrial zones - Tuyap, Beko Factory, Kaya Ramada Hotel, Kaya Millennium Business Centre and various shopping centers - are all situated in this section. Retail facilities dominate the E-5 Road and Gurpinar Road, which is the road connecting the sea side areas with Tuyap crossroads.
