Outdoor Activities in Antalya
Antlaya boasts the clearest and most beautiful coast along the Mediterranean. Konyaalti is a long pebbled beach, and one of the most popular spots in summer. For those who find it too hot, there is a grassy park directly behind the beach, complete with playgrounds and restaurants. The beach offers outstanding mountain views. Mermerli is a completely different kind of beach. Located just outside the harbour wall, it provides an unlikely retreat in the heart of town. Admission charges are standard.
Rafting has become a popular water activity in Antlaya. Operating from many of the hotels, several agencies offer trips up to a variety of canyons.
There are two ski resorts within reach of Antlaya. Davraz is located high above three mountain lakes, some 100 km north of Antlaya. The resort of Saklikent lies on the slopes of Bakirli Mountain, 50 km to the west of the city.
Other activities on offer are jeep safaris, camping and boat trips.
