PORTUGAL 'COULD ATTRACT MORE CANADIAN VISITORS'

People who have invested in Portuguese rental accommodation could soon see more demand from across the Atlantic, a news website has suggested.

Canada.com said that travel officials in North America are increasingly aiming to tempt holidaymakers to visit the European country.

If the initiative is successful, this means Portugal will be likely to attract more visitors from the US and Canada during the next few years.

This will be a positive development for people who own accommodation that holidaymakers can rent, as they will be able to collect higher rental returns.

Canada.com highlighted the Algarve as an especially desirable location, as it offers attractions such as good temperatures for 12 months of the year.

The online portal added that it has a variety of leisure attractions that visitors can enjoy, such as good beaches and golf courses.

This comes after the Sun said Portugal was a "paradise" for fans of the sport.
