Shopping in Tetouan

The best shopping is to be had in the medina. Hand-crafted goods are the most common offerings here. The city’s must-make purchase is “mendils” - the bright, multicoloured cloth used by the mountain farmers for protection against the elements.

For especially low prices, make a stop at the “Ensemble Artisanal”. This is a government-subsidised crafts market where rugs, leather goods and jewellery are the order of the day.
