ITALY'S TOURIST DRAW 'BENEFITING PROPERTY INVESTORS'

Italy's lure as a top tourist destination is benefiting foreign property investors who are able to enjoy healthy returns on their rental properties.

NuWire Investor claims the chameleon nature of Italy, which attracts a wide variety of tourists looking for different holiday experiences, makes buying an investment property in Italy a wise move.

Indeed, busy couples taking short city breaks are often looking for rented accommodation in urban destinations such as Milan and Rome, while families spending their holidays on the country's coast may be seeking beachside villas.

And rural retreats are also in demand among those looking to spend some time relaxing in the countryside, sipping wine in the vineyards or enjoying a bicycle ride through the meadows.

"Italy's exquisite cultural patrimony, evocative countryside and 'made in Italy' craftsmanship all combine to preserve the value of Italian real property," said Donald J Carroll, a member of Pirola Pennuto Zei & Associates in Rome, told NuWire Investor.

Italy is "next in line" to lead the way on foreign property investment and could soon catch up to the likes of France and Spain, according to Louise Hall, business director of Primelocation.com.
