BRITONS LOOK ABROAD FOR ACTIVE RETIREMENT

Britons are increasingly aspiring to enjoy an active retirement overseas, new research has revealed.
According to a poll by Prudential, half of those who plan to move house after they retire this year intend to live abroad full-time.
In addition, one in four respondents said they wish to spend their post-working life travelling overseas.
These people stated that they would be willing to spend more than three months away from home in order to see the world.
Commenting on the findings, Gary Shaughnessy from Prudential said they suggest that older Britons are far more ambitious than previous generations.
He remarked: "Those retiring today are likely to be able to enjoy far more active lives through their pensionable years."
Earlier this week, Marjorie Mansfield of financial advice group Siddalls highlighted France as a hotspot for British expatriates.
Writing in the Telegraph, she cited official figures showing that more than 200,000 UK nationals now reside in the country on a permanent basis.
