The flight to Hurghada takes around five hours and more and more people are choosing this fascinating region over traditional favourites in southern Europe. Egypt has become particularly popular with Russian tourists, but Brits are also arriving in hoards this year.

Scuba diving is of course one of Egypt's biggest attractions and many believe that it boasts some of the most spectacular reefs in the world. Hurghada is a particularly impressive destination for divers, with excellent courses available for those trying it out for the first time.
Sharm El Naga is a village that has attracted a huge amount of attention recently, thanks to its outstanding reef cliff just a few metres offshore. Soma Bay is another popular destination, with its luxury hotels and well-established tourist industry.
