What to See in Polis
The Museum of Marion-Arsinoe presents a remarkable collection of archaeological finds that derive from an extensive area around Polis. The building is large and consist of three exhibition spaces. The exhibits have been arranged chronologically, providing a user-friendly history of the area from the Neolithic age to the Medieval era.
The Polis Culture Centre is a modern day building with a theatre and a seating capacity of 400. The centre also houses a large exhibition area.
The Church of Agios Andronikos provides fascinating insights into the Byzantine history of the island. The church features exquisite 16th century wall paintings, and is situated near the town’s traditional square.
The Agia Kyriaki church is an 18th century construction and a superb example of traditional architecture.
