Day Trips from Polis
Latsi is the picturesque harbour of Polis, and is renowned for its fresh fish. This is best enjoyed in one of the old stone harbour warehouses that have been converted into a string of atmospheric fish restaurants and taverns. Latsi also offers the visitor water sports facilities and equipment for rent. Finally, Latsi provides a gateway to the beautiful Akamas Peninsula. Short cruises are available daily.

The area, destined to be declared a National park, offers a network of nature trails complete with breathtaking views of the bay and its surrounds. It is also home to the famous Baths of Aphrodite, where the goddess of love performed her mythical cleansing rituals.
Kathikas is a quaint village at the gateway to the Akamas. It offers visitors a choice of authentic taverns and local handicrafts.
The recently uncovered remains of the medieval Georgian Orthodox monastery of Gialia is located nearby.
