CAPE VERDE 'IS A MAGNET FOR INVESTORS'

The Cape Verde islands have become a highly popular location among overseas property investors, an expert has said.
Sarah Brown of NuBricks.com described the west African archipelago as a "magnet" for foreign property buyers who favour emerging markets.
Cape Verde was praised for offering a number of attractive inducements to investors, such as authentic charm and an "old world feel".
This was said to have made it very popular with those who enjoy visiting unspoiled areas that have not become over-commercialised.
However, Ms Brown warned that since this is one of its most distinctive selling points, the natural environment will need to be preserved.
She commented: "The untouched areas of the islands will need to be retained to keep its unique selling points unique."
Jet-to-Let magazine recently speculated that the annual number of visitors to Cape Verde could reach about 500,000 by 2015.
